Challenge Match Donation EXCEEDS Goal

Nashville, TN – United Methodist Men Foundation

The UMMF Foundation has a long history of making fruitful grants to fulfill the mission to provide financial support for the General Commission on United Methodist Men and ministries for Men, Youth, Young Adults, and Families.

An anonymous donor announced he was making a Challenge Donation to the United Methodist Men Foundation (UMMF) in the amount of $7,500.00. Board member Wayne Custer challenged all UMMF Board Members to personally generate a $1,000.00 donation in the form of a John Wesley Fellowship Honor Award for a worthy recipient to match this generous donation.

Funds from the Challenge Donation and resulting UMMF Board Member fundraising would go towards funding a Horizons Study to grow the Foundation and for a new website development. The response from UMMF Board members was immediate! Thanks to the Challenge donation and the hard work of the UMMF board members this challenge has not only been met – but it has been exceeded! As a result, Horizons has already initiated the study for the UMMF and the new website has been designed, published and launched. www.ummf.org
