EXECUTIVE DIRECTOR NOTES

Recent Activity & Planning

The Foundation Board of Directors, Executive Committee & Team Leaders are actively engaged in an aggressive effort to expand our capabilities and ultimately broaden the Impact delivered through our Grants.

MID-YEAR 2026 UPDATE

Starting with updated Core Values, we have established a framework to guide our present and future work to ensure we remain true to our mission. Every activity and grant is evaluated first against these values to guarantee that our work advances our intended impact.

Building on our new Core Values the Vision and Mission have been updated defining our direction and activities to fulfill this Vision and Mission. Our service demographic has been expanded to empower a wider service group through our grants.

Branding now includes our wider service footprint as we’ve added to “United Methodist Men Foundation” the new “Wesleyan Foundation For Men” reflecting a broader service demographic. This in turn positions the Foundation to reach and serve areas that traditionally are underserved or neglected altogether.

Activities directed toward reaching and expanding our audience with respect to fundraising are in place including new websites, newsletters and means of communication. Social Media messaging has been developed for Facebook, Instagram and even a dedicated YouTube Channel.

Significant tools are now in place to assist donors in choosing how best to create a lasting legacy. Click HERE to see this impressive set of tools and information!

Integrity & Credibility are paramount for any foundation, and we’ve done great work to ensure we meet the highest standards for nonprofit foundations. To that end we’ve been awarded the prestigious PLATINUM SEAL of Transparency from Candid.

Advancing the professionalism of all of our Officers and Board Members we’ve performed training on responsibilities and created specific roles and areas of service. Each of our leaders serves on one or more of our Teams aligned with their area of expertise and experience.

Tremendous advances have been made in our infrastructure including the creation of online library for leaders, automated processes, new Rubric for Grants, policies and internal procedures and an extensive set of digital resources to support communication and operations.

The new Rubric has been implemented and tested successfully with recent grants generating new and greater impact for the Foundation. There is more to come – stay tuned!
