Life Achievement – John Wenger

United Methodist Men present the prestigious “Life Achievement Award” to people who have given years of service to local, district, conference or national Methodist organizations.

John Wenger served at Grace UMC for over 14 years mowing and trimming the 7.4 acre property. From trimming trees to leveling the ditch for the Meditation Garden and always cleaning up.

He is proactive going beyond mowing to take care of whatever tasks arise such as removing stumps & smoothing the ground even to the point of using the lawn roller to level out the grounds.

The cost savings to the church over the time of John’s selfless service are immense. It does not stop there however as John also personally purchases maintenance parts and installs them himself. The church property’s beauty testifies to his caring service.

The “Life Achievement Award” was presented to John Wenger by Grace UMC UMM President Will Alldritt.
